Venom

I never thought you could break me

My love was steadfast, unending, resilient

You set out to prove me wrong, to the depths of hell you’d take me

A plan concocted, by an evil mind, so brilliant

Boasting helping hands, you refused to lend them

My heart a casualty to the siren song that was sung

Lips never mine to taste, spewing venom

Words recklessly created by your forked tongue

Your sweet face, the facade of a monster preying on my innocence

Persuading this fool to pursue a remedy for your cries

Spouting false confessions of affection without dissonance

The deceit, spinning like whirlpools in your eyes

Broken you’ve left me, beyond repair

I’ll rip you from the pages of our black and red book

Because any other, couldn’t hold a candle to compare

Themselves to the damage you caused and the life you took

I hope you feel the pain you’ve inflicted

I pray you taste the bitterness of your own breath

The eventuality of our reality, was to be predicted

But your depravity has ensured you will feel true Love’s death
